Configuration

The solar thermal collector UHV, can work without any kind of concentration, even with high levels of concentration, to reach high temperatures of stagnation. For every application with a different temperature objective to reach, it would be possible to design different types of concentrating systems, with different concentration factors that would make the installation more profitable.
On the other hand this concentrating systems can work with or without the tracking system. The choice of one type or other of concentrating systems, as well as the use or not of the tracker, come from the economic study of the application, which is the function of the heat demand, the heat consumption standard, the temperature, the location and the radiation.

SRB has designed and evaluated 14 posible conentrating system configuration, although most of the applications can be solved with the following three configurations.

Whithout concentration: Panel without concentration, using a mirror in the lower part of the collector to get back the radiation emitted in the infrared band.

With cylindrical concentration: Panel with cylindrical mirrors.

With flat concentration: Panel with concentration of 8 flat mirrors..
