CERN has decided to use the SRB collectors to provide the hot water for the firebrigade building.

• Tilt: 45º

• Heat transfer fluid: Water with Propylene Glycol at 40%

• Inlet temperature: 7 ºC (annual average)

• Outlet temperature of solar field: 50 ºC

• Aperture:  12 m2  

• Annual Energy produced: 7,5 MWh/year

• Hot water produced: 1150 l/día

• CO2 saving: 1,5 Ton 

 Two tanks heated with electical resistances (3.8 kW)
