INTRODUCTION

The Colas company, at its facilities to manufacture asphalt at Switzerland, has integrated a solar field composed by 20 UHV collectors from SRB Energy, to heat the Bitumen storage tanks. Colas, pioneer in the integration of environmental improvements, and cost reduction in its asphalt plants, has found in the SRB Energy collectors the technology to achieve the 180ºC needed to heat the Bitumen storage tanks.

  • Yearly produced Energy: 26 MWh/year
  • CO2 saving: 7,1 Tone/year
